HUGE announcement!
Ok, 2 weeks ago, I had NO idea this was going to happen. I get a call from my boss, Leon Galison, he had everyone on speaker phone, said he had a HUGE project for me and only I could do this! And then he dropped the bomb, that he was buying Latham Music back from Lorenz. If you all heard a scream, that was me! No one has ever been more surprised. So here is the official announcement:

LudwigMasters Publications and The Lorenz Corporation are proud to
announce the sale of Latham Music to LudwigMasters Publications. The transfer
of ownership will take place on March 18, 2013.
Latham Music was founded in 1992 as a publisher of cello ensembles and
has operated under the umbrella of The Lorenz Corporation since 2008. The
catalog is filled with solos and ensembles for violin, viola, cello and string
bass. In addition, there are string trios and quartets, string and full
orchestra publications, and "gig" music for professionals. Many
of these compositions are written in fiddling, jazz, rock, blues, and Latin
styles.
Contributors to the catalog include founder and editor Lynne Latham
along with Shirl Jae Atwell, Lee Burswold, Edward M. Caner, Philip Clark, M.L.
Daniels, Robert Frost, Bert Ligon, Catherine McMichael, Carole
Neuen-Rabinowitz, Thom Sharp, Anne Svendsen, and Ed Zunic.
LudwigMasters is a leading publisher of literature for concert band,
string orchestra, full orchestra, instrumental, percussion and ensemble music.
The LudwigMasters staff is proud to add the Latham Music catalog to offerings
from the catalogs of Masters Music, Ludwig Music, S.D.G. press, Tetra Continuo,
Great Works Publishing, Maecenas Music and Brook Publishing.
In preparation for the transition, The Lorenz Corporation will cease
taking orders for Latham titles on Wednesday, March 13. Please forward your
orders to LudwigMasters Publications for prompt fulfillment once the transfer
has occurred.
